What is Vedic Astrology
Vedic Astrology, also known as Jyotish, is an ancient system of astrology that originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. It is based on the factthat the position and movements of celestial bodies, such as the Sun, Moon, and planets, have an influence on the lives of individuals and the world as a whole.
Vedic astrology uses a sidereal zodiac, which is based on the actual positions of the stars in the sky, as opposed to the tropical zodiac used in Western astrology, which is based on the position of the Sun relative to the Earth.
In Vedic astrology, a person’s birth chart, or horoscope, is created based on the exact time, date, and place of their birth. This chart is then used to provide insight into the person’s personality, life events, relationships, and career, among other things.
Vedic astrology also includes various predictive techniques, such as dasa and transit systems, which are used to identify periods of opportunity and challenge in a person’s life.
